Andy is widely recognized by people all over the world, as his main source of work is drawing caricatures for tourists visiting Mexico, as well as for his fellow citizens. Whether at various tourist spots in the country or from Mexico City, at events, weddings, and conventions, Andy has drawn tirelessly and with all his love for over 25 years as a caricaturist.
To date, he has caricatured approximately 300,000 people and has made many more laugh if we take into account the viewers. We could assume that if at least 10% of these people have framed his caricatures, we'd be talking about approximately 30,000 homes around the world already have a work of art by Andy Gohan.

To avoid spoiling the surprise of the final result, Andy never shares it; the surprise is the most interesting and captivating aspect of his work.
Portraits
Andy has ventured into the world of portraits. Andy had his first contact with the art world when he first visited the San Carlos Academy in the historic center of Mexico City. His mother took him and introduced him to a teacher who generously allowed him to attend classes as an auditor. Neither Andy nor his mother had enough money at the time to take private lessons at that prestigious school, but nevertheless, thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of that teacher, Andy was able to feel the sensation and experience for the first time what art was all about, around the age of 14.
Andy ventured into the world of portraiture around 2020 due to the pandemic. Not having much to do, he dedicated himself to developing this impressionist technique inspired by artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Joaquín Sorolla. He mainly likes acrylic as a base but finishes details and backgrounds with the oil technique. It could be said that Andy uses a mixed technique between oil and acrylic.

Murals
Andy became a muralist by painting on the walls of his home. Practice makes perfect, and he developed through experimentation, initially painting the walls of his family's homes and later those of friends. He gained experience and confidence until he dared to paint larger and larger walls, always as donations until he felt confident he could charge enough, at least to cover the costs of materials and travel.
When he finally felt confident in himself, he started knocking on embassy doors.
Andy's vision was to become Mexico's next great muralist, following in the footsteps of his admired Diego Rivera, and he is directing these efforts in that direction. Soon the world will know more about Andy Gohan.
Pets
Andy has the gift, but also the courage to dare to venture into diverse worlds, of course at first it was difficult like everything, but with practice and perseverance he has managed to advance more and more in his goal of becoming an avant-garde painter, but above all versatile, he loves nature and animals, that's why he loves to paint landscapes and animals, you can see here the result of his work as a portraitist for your pets.
